As a Christmas gift this year, I enrolled the kids in zoo camp for the day. The Little Explorers Club at the Columbus Zoo offers single day learning experiences designed for children ages 3-5. During this three hour program, children explore the zoo, participate in an animal encounter, create crafts and more. Today, the kids walked to the reindeer exhibit, had an up-close encounter with a skunk and made a beautiful snow globe craft.

The classes take place in the beautiful new Suzie Edwards Conservation Education Classrooms just outside the zoo entrance. In addition to being hosted in a gorgeous new classroom and giving children hand-on experiences, the program has an absolutely wonderful staff who are dedicated to ensuing the children have a great time while learning and making memories.

If you are interested in registering, class dates for January and February are now available. They offer the same class/theme for the full week, along with morning and afternoon options, so you can choose the time that fits your schedule. The themes change weekly allowing your child to get a new experience if you choose to sign up for various weeks. Enrollment is $35.00 for zoo members and $45.00 for non-members.
